This paper presents multi-objective topology and sizing optimization of a morphing wing structure. The purpose this is to design new aircraft structure with tapered shape for ribs, spars, skins including torsion beam external actuating torques, which anticipated modify the aeroelastic characteristic using optimization. Two problems are proposed employing ground element structures high- low-grid resolutions. problem minimize mass, maximize difference lift effectiveness, buckling factor an subject structural constraints critical speed, factors. variables include dimensions thickness distribution. solved by efficient metaheuristic algorithm while results compared discussed. Pareto optimal fronts obtained all tests were based on hypervolume metric. objective function values Case I II at 10 selected solutions exhibit range mass as 115.3216–411.6250 kg, 125.0137–440.5869 effectiveness 1.0514–1.1451, 1.0834–1.1639 bucking 38.895–1133.1864 Hz, 158.1264–1844.4355 respectively. best reveal unconventional that can be manufactured additive manufacturing. research expected serve foundation future into framework.
